We operate a fun-packed Holiday Club at Ysgol Estyn that offers exciting, engaging and enjoyable activities for children aged 3 to 12 years old. The Holiday Club is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, throughout the school holidays. We are able to open at 7.30am on request but this must be arranged in advance.
We aim to keep the children thoroughly entertained throughout the holiday by offering a flexible programme of indoor and outdoor activities, including:
External qualified sports coaches may be invited to teach specialist classes to extend the children's learning experiences. Trips to local attractions are arranged from time-to-time to broaden the children's understanding and appreciation of the world around them.
Ysgol Estyn has helped rescue a number of battery hens, which are now thriving under Mr Jones's care. Any eggs laid by the hens are sold locally and the money raised is donated to Macmillan Cancer Care. Children attending our Holiday Club can help to feed the hens and ensure they are safely in their pens at the end of the day. This is a very popular and rewarding activity that imparts a sense of responsibility in the children.
Our entire programme of activities is designed to nurture social interaction, physical development and language and communication skills. With access to the school's large playground and sports field, children are encouraged to explore the natural environment.
Children will be required to bring a packed lunch when attending Holiday Club. Heathy snacks are provided mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
A light, hot tea is served towards the end of the day.
Please Note
Our Holiday Club is closed during the Christmas week and the last week of the summer holiday.
Children who attend Ysgol Estyn are given priority when booking; children from other schools are very welcome to attend our Holiday Club, subject to availability.
